Work with the business to determine the potential customer they want to reach.  Think about the ideal geography and demographics they want to target with the email campaign.

Fill out the Email Count Request Campaign form with this information to determine how many email addresses will be reached with your proposed email campaign geography and demographics.  For geography use counties or zip codes.  For demographics choose from hundreds of demographic characteristics including age, household income, education, hobbies, gender.  This analysis will also provide a campaign cost based on the chosen criteria.  Results will be emailed to you within 24 hours of form submission.  You can make any changes to the geography or demographics at this point.

Determine the message you want to send to this audience based on their needs.

Build an html file that is your email.  It will include all links.  Email width is 650 pixels.  Length should be whatever you need for your message.  Do not make it too long to make sure readers scroll through the whole thing.  Make sure you have links built into your email.  This is a key to success.

Work with the client to determine the PLAN for the email.  A follow up should ALWAYS be part of the plan.  Follow ups can take several forms:

  • Redrop an email to: EVERYONE who received the first email
  • Redrop an email to ONLY those who CLICKED on the first email
  • Redrop an email to ONLY those who did not CLICK on the first email
  • Digitally retarget everyone who receives the email.
